    • There will be a Spanish Club organizational meeting Tues., Aug. 22 after school in Mr. Palmer’s Room (205).  We´ll decide on leadership, when to meet, t-shirt designs and brainstorm activities.

    • Flag and Rifle girls report to the practice field at 5:45 tonight.  Band and non-band girls report to the practice field at 6.

    • Attention National Honor Society Members ~ There will be a meeting immediately after school on Mon., August 21st in Mrs. Shake's room.

    • Any Freshman that ordered an 8th grade yearbook may stop by the office and pick it up.

    • Lettermen & Letterwomen ~ Please sign up outside of Mrs. Carpenter's room (208) before Friday, August 25th.

    • The Bloomfield Apple Festival Committee is looking for young ladies in grades 9-12 that would be interested in running for the Bloomfield Apple Festival Queen. You can find the application and other information at the following website: www.bloomfieldapplefestival.com or in the HS office. Application are due by Sept. 1, 2017. If you have any questions please contact Deanna Potts (812) 381-0424.

    • Seniors ~ The Greene County Community foundation announced the opening of the 2018 Lilly Scholarship. Please check your school email for more information about this scholarship. 

    • To mark the 100th meeting between the Linton & Sullivan football teams, commemorative t-shirts are being sold. The final day to order a shirt from school is this Friday, August 18. The shirt orders will be returned to the school the following week, in time for the football game (here) on the 25th. Shirts are $15 each for S-XL, and an additional $1 for larger sizes (2XL - $16, 3XL - $17) and money is due at the time of order. Checks should be made out to the Linton Band Boosters. The proceeds from the sales will be divided between Dawson Brown's family, and Savannah Boone's family, who are both currently battling cancer. For any questions, please contact Mrs. Mayfield. 

    • The Linton-Stockton School Corporation values its many employees, as well as our students, families and community members that we help to serve each day. We would like for everyone, students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and community members to take a moment to help us celebrate the great work of the individuals who help make our district a better place for our students. The "Cause for Applause" Award program recognizes Linton-Stockton School Corporation employees that have gone above and beyond their daily expectations. This is a monthly honor and anyone can nominate an employee for this award. Please go online to our school’s website (www.lssc.k12.in.us), and on our corporation’s homepage, you will find the Cause for Applause logo. Click on the logo and you will be directed to the nomination form.

    Reminders:

    • Attendance Line ~ The High School attendance line for you to call in your student's absence is (812) 512-9052...just follow the prompt. You may also call 847-6024 if you can’t get through to the attendance line and leave a message. Please remember you need to call your student in for illnesses or appointments before 9am. Homework is listed on Harmony daily, so your student can make up all the work when they return. Please remember to send doctor excuse slips within 48 hours of absence. Excuses can also be faxed to 847-6037. If the excuse is not received within 48 hours, then they will not be certified. You also need to call the office if your student is late or not coming in at all.  We always need to make sure your student is accounted for.

    • Students ~ This is a reminder that once you arrive on school grounds you are not allowed to leave without permission from the office.

    • Lunch ~ Lunch/take-out food items cannot be brought in by parents/guardians during the school day at any time, due to students’ safety and health. If your child forgot theirs, they will be able to have a lunch tray from the cafeteria.

    • Lockers ~ You are not to go to your lockers or to the 2nd floor until 7:45am. Please remain in the Auditeria until the 7:45am bell. Also, you are not allowed to take backpacks and bags to periods 1-6. You may take them to period 7 so you can get to your bus on time.

    • Water ~ You are allowed to carry bottled water with you throughout the day, however other drinks are not allowed except during lunch.

    • Deliveries ~ Please note that we do NOT accept flowers, candy, or balloon deliveries at school.
